Classic TVO Childrens Show fan number: It's interesting to note that before TVO actually became known as "TVOntario" in late '75, all programs before that
produced specifically for that channel ended their credits with "The Ontario Educational Communications Authority" OECA and he year of production at the bottom of the screen. Later, all shows under "TV Ontario" ended with the
credits we later came to know so well that practiaclly covered the screen!

PBS Kids is the educational children's programming brand of Public Broadcasting System . It started in 1999. Its programming is non-commercial , like all PBS programming. PBS Kids programs are mostly shown in the daytime. These programs are meant for children ages 3–10. PBS Kids's programs use science , math and reading . Some of them also include social studies . All of the programs give a problem that the children have to solve. An example of these problems would be what to do when two children want to play with the same thing but fight (teaching the importance of sharing).

In recent years no other series (animated or live-action) has proudly carried the torch of “creepy” kids’ show like  Gravity Falls . Similar to the way  Eerie, Indiana introduced us to a mysterious fictional small town, The Disney Channel’s Gravity Falls took us to the animated town of Gravity Falls, Oregon where the supernatural lives. The series follows 12-year old twins, Dipper and Mabel Pines, who are sent to live with their uncle Stan Pines in the town of Gravity Falls. A hit with critics and kids alike, this cartoon is loaded with paranormal characters and nightmare images.

PBS relaunched children's network, PBS Kids, on January 16, 2017. [14] Structured as a multi-platform service, it was made available for distribution to digital subchannels of participating PBS member stations, initially launching on 73 member stations (counting those operated as subregional PBS member networks ), with an additional 34 agreeing to begin carrying the network at a later date. [ not in citation given ] A live stream of the channel was also added to the PBS Kids website and video app upon the channel's debut, which will eventually allow viewers to toggle from the program being aired to a related educational game extending the interactivity introduced by Sesame Street . The network is counterprogrammed from the PBS Kids block, so that the same program would not be shown on either simultaneously. PBS Kids 24/7 mainly features double-runs of existing series on PBS Kids' schedule (including some not carried on the primary channels of certain member stations); as such, no additional programs had to be acquired to help fill the channel's schedule. [12] The network will also launch a weekly block on Friday evenings, "PBS Kids Family Night," on April 21, 2017, which will showcase of family-oriented feature films and premieres of PBS Kids' children's programs.
